What is Success?

In my younger years, I always thought of success as people who had a lot of money. After training many clients who were financially free, my opinion started to change. I also then started studying more “successful people”, in the eyes of society. My opinion quickly shifted for me on what TRUE success really was.

I no longer thought money was a deciding factor. Yes, it definitely can play a role in success, but it is not the determining factor. See, what I found out was a lot of people who have money, still were not truly happy or healthy. Some did not have a relationship with their spouse or their children, because they worked all the time. Many were stressed out all of the time, and on the verge of a heart attack or stroke. They were not living a happy, healthy and balanced lifestyle.

I started looking deeper into other people’s lives whom I consider to be successful. They all started to share the same traits for the most part. First off, they lived their lives on their own terms, and for the most part were truly happy people. We all go through moments in our lives that we may feel a little “off “. But for the most part, you should feel happy and in control of your life 95% of the time. They also loved to help others, while expecting nothing in return. Consistently giving back to their community and foundations.

I think one of the biggest things to remember is that we all have problems and issues. How we choose to deal with those problems and issues, is what makes the difference. Successful people don’t dwell on the past, and they keep moving forward and live in the present. They wake up feeling alive and they truly love their lives.\

My mission is to serve others in helping them live a joyful, healthy and balanced lifestyle. By educating, empowering and inspiring them to live life on their own terms, and obtaining their goals. A big key to this is helping people realise, on a subconscious level, that health needs to be your number #1 priority in life. Without health, you have nothing else. I often explain to mothers, because mothers are always giving to others, and forget about themselves in the process: If you don’t take care of you and you get sick, who is going to take care of your family and loved ones? So, as difficult as it is, you need to make YOU the number one thing in your life.

So, before you look at that next social media post, or watch the latest news on all those people who you think ‘have it all’, just remember; most of the time, things are not as they appear. Do yourself a favor and work on you. Learn what will truly make you happy and healthy. Find your purpose in life, and give back to things that will make you feel good. True success is not about money, but getting up every day with a smile on your face and knowing you are doing good things for this world.
