How to Change Your Mindset
How can you change your mindset? This is the question that everyone wants the answer to. Can it really be as simple as just thinking a different way? How long does it take YOU to change YOUR mindset? The answer is: you can change your mindset if YOU truly want to, and if YOU’RE willing to work at it. You can change your mindset as fast as you can snap your fingers! Here are a few ways to start taking control of your own mind.
- Be GRATEFUL. The first topic I want to talk about, and one of the best ways to put yourself into a positive mindset, is to start thinking about all the small things that you are grateful for. Each day, first thing in the morning write down THREE THINGS that you are grateful for. It is going to be difficult to have negative feelings, when you are thinking about things that you are grateful for.
Also, Things like our health, that so many people take for granted, is one of the most important things to be grateful for. If you and your loved ones are healthy, there is no other reason to be upset in life. Remember, if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. Start thinking about all the great things in your life, and your mindset will start to shift immediately. Be grateful that you’re still on this earth.
- Change your Physiology. Emotion creates emotion. To put yourself in a better state, you must move around, and create good posture. People that are confident, hold themselves a certain way. They stand tall, breath deep, chest out and shoulders are back. If you feel yourself going into a slump, catch yourself. Stand up, go for a walk, do jumping jacks, keep moving. Walk with confidence, and you will notice the shift in your mindset. Google: ‘power posing’ to see what goes on inside your body when you hold certain posture positions.
- Focus on the good. What you focus on tends to happen. In every situation, you have a choice on what you can focus on, the positive or the negative. We live in a world where there is so much good going on, but we tend to keep on focusing on what is bad. Keep a good perspective on every situation in your life. There is no failure, just learning opportunities. If something doesn’t go your way, think of what you can take away from the situation. Listen to 10 minutes of positive audio every day, and read 5-10 pages of personal development, it’s best to do this first thing in the morning. If you want to focus on the good, then listen and read GOOD content.
There are three ways to help change your mindset patterns. Just like growing your muscles and doing exercises. You must do exercises to help grow your mindset. It usually doesn’t happen naturally, and it is something that can be changed if YOU put the work in.
